Personalised gift ideas that actually get used

Gifts with a function last longest A desk name sign, a keyring you can recognise in the dark, a set of place cards for the party or a small entryway tray. The personal part makes the gift; the function keeps it out of the drawer.

Keep the text short Short names and few words print best. Very long text becomes small and loses detail. We usually recommend under 24 characters on one line.

Characters and language Æ, Ø and Å print fine in the typefaces we use. We avoid emojis and very thin typefaces — the detail disappears into the layers.

Contrast Two colours give the best readability: a light plate with dark text or the reverse. Single-colour relief looks best in side light.

Preview before printing For personalised orders we send a preview of the text for approval before printing. Individually personalised items may be exempt from the right of withdrawal, and you should be able to catch that before production.
