Caring for your 3D-printed products

18 September 2026

Cleaning Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid the dishwasher: the heat can deform both PLA and PETG. Avoid alcohol and acetone, which can dull the surface.

Heat Do not leave parts in a car in the sun or directly above a radiator. PLA starts to soften around 55–60 °C.

Sunlight Strong direct sunlight over time can dull colours and make the material more brittle. For outdoor use ASA is a better choice than PLA — but ASA is not indestructible either.

Plants and water Always use a watertight inner pot. Our planter covers are covers, not watertight pots, unless the product page says otherwise.

Minor damage Loose layers can often be glued with ordinary superglue. If something has broken fully, write to us with a photo and order number — we can usually reprint the part for less than a new order.
